Hello everyone! Now that Spring is here (and it actually feels like it!) I wanted to write a little bit about the changing of your wardrobe.
As we change our wardrobe from dark colors to light ones, we hope that our spirits too will be lifted. After a long and perhaps difficult winter we look at the spring as a new beginning. We hope that our spirits and positive outlook will increase along with the warm sun and longer days.
Now is the time to begin sorting through your closet to remove anything which is dark and dreary looking. You should be keeping styles which are good staples and basics for a date (styles that aren’t “too out there”).
There are many different aspects of dress especially when dressing for a date that we will discuss in the future. In this post, I want to discuss colors. Black and navy’s are definitely classics but they should be reserved and put to the side when dating in the spring. They give a low-key type of look. A few of the colors which are very in this season are Lemon Zest, Monaco Blue, Nectarine, and Tender Shoots (a green with a tinge of yellow).
Try to imagine what two women would look like. Both are beautiful, with their hair and makeup done to a tee. The weather is 70 degrees with a slight wind. The time is 6:00 PM. They are both going out on a 4th date. They will not be sitting in a lobby. One is wearing navy and black, and one is wearing a white shell with a Monaco Blue top. Personally, wouldn’t the color bring our her eyes and hair, especially if they are outdoors on the date? Yes, it is a little daring or different but the look is just so refreshing for the spring and you will really look your best! Go for it and try it and see how you feel. Any questions or comments feel free to write me and stay tuned for more Spring fashion tips.
